Quill & Disc- Protecting Ideas through Patents
What Goes into a Patent Application?

There is no "patent application form", other than a few section headings. Since each invention is unique by definition, each patent application will also be unique.

A utility patent application must meet a number of different very stringent requirements regarding both content and layout. In addition, the application must adequately enable others who are reasonably skilled in related technology to make and use the invention. At the end of the patent application, there are legal descriptions that define the extent of patent protection, called claims.

When we have prepared the patent application, we will ask you to review and sign the necessary paperwork, and then we are ready to file the application.
